The Startec is a unique solution on the market. Deploying Scheidegger technology for tamper- evident sleeve applications, for more than 30 years the Startec applicator is integrated inside a labeler frame to apply cap seals.

The system is installed on top of the labeler exit starwheel so does not require extra space on the line apart from the shrink tunnels, thus offering conveyor reduction and easy accumulation control

Based on a direct shooting technology thanks to its angled cutting head, the sleeve application is smooth, positively progressive and accurate.

Scheidegger Technology – Continuous Motion Process

  • The film is unwound on a separate non- stop dual-reel unwinder. The film enters the machine via a specific folding system which creates two additional folds on the tube.
  • The film is then driven by servo motors through a rotary cutting block which cuts the sleeve like a regular labeler, avoiding material start/stop process, and tension issues found on other available technologies: « guillotine » or « bullet ».​
  • The sleeve is then positively applied over the bottle neck thanks to the inclined cutting head which has the bottle cap go inside the sleeve
