New Business Development Team to Focus on Recyclable Pouch Applications

New Role established to push sustainability company goals for the circular economy

MIAMI, FLA. (September 15th, 2019)

Karlville is happy to announce that Mercedes Candedo, New Business Development Director, has a
new role related to Recyclable Pouch applications, for both, thermal and ultrasonic converting
technologies.

While most fabricators are making bigger, longer and more complex machines to tackle recycle
pouch production, Karlville Swiss is fabricating shorter, simpler, and less complex pouch machines.
Raul Matos, VP of Sales advises, “The fact that our machine is ½ the length of most machines give
us a great advantage for stretchy materials. With PE material, we can reach similar production
efficiency as large machines made for long runs, on a compact, quick changeover machine. For this
reason and market demands, we are creating this new task force inside our business development
team to develop recyclability as a standard in future. Mercedes will be instrumental in working with
key industry players, suppliers and converters, as well as brand owners for the development of
recyclable platforms within our pouch converting machine business. The plan is to centralize all
“know how” via Mercedes for the development and sales of our pouch machines for recyclable
applications.”
